Harold Kyle, the founder of Boxcar Press, sits at his desk wishing he were printing.

Debbie Urbanski is the assistant founder of Boxcar Press. Her skills include planning international tour de forces which involve lugging a large pack or baby or press up steeply beautiful mountainsides. She is devoted to applying her MFA in poetry to the business world.

Jessica Spring is the proprietor of Springtide Press in Tacoma, Washington.
She writes, designs and prints unique artist books featuring handmade paper and letterpress printing. Her love of printing is shared with her students at Pacific Lutheran University and with the whole city at their annual Small Press Month Wayzgoose, a word everybody in town now understands.

Robert McCamant was one of the founders of the Chicago Reader, and served for 23 years as Art Director for one of the first alternative weekly newspapers. He is the proprietor of Sherwin Beach Press, a small fine press established in 1984 with a focus on non-fiction prose. McCamant’s dream team at Sherwin Beach includes printer Martha Chiplis and binder Trisha Hammer. Working with renowned talents like writer/artist Audrey Niffenegger, illustrator Heather McAdams, and printmaker Tony Fitzpatrick, Sherwin Beach produces beautifully crafted books in very limited editions. McCamant is also active as editor of The Caxtonian, a newsletter for Chicago’s bibliocentric Caxton Club.
